Meet Jan

Welcome to Seas the Day Studio! My name is Jan and I am the spark and flow of Seas the Day Studio located in beautiful Comox, B.C. With humble beginnings, Seas the Day began as a way to connect with friends, helping them elevate their decor with custom designed signs for any and every occasion. Now, Seas the Day is celebrating its 10th anniversary and is proud to say we have helped many groups achieve and embrace their artistic talent time and time again!

Projects range from stenciled signs, seasonal decor, serving trays, farmhouse clocks and even giving old furniture a new lease on life, Jan (and YOU!) can truly do it all.

New classes and projects are added regularly.

The Studio

My goal for our studio was to design a space for people to feel free to create what they are feeling to suit their own decor or design a gift. We have overheard many people saying they can’t believe how well their project turned out, how welcome they feel and how easy we make it for them to be successful in their undertakings.

Our studio offers a small group setting that allow time and space to create, connect and
discover your creative side! All workshops are designed to help you create beautiful pieces that you will love – using Country Chic Paint products that are eco-friendly and safe for you and your family. Come on down to our studio to laugh, learn and play as you let your inner artist emerge!

Do you need experience to attend classes at Seas the Day Studio?
No experience is necessary to attend our classes. Jan is a 35 year experienced elementary school teacher as well as having taught these adult classes for 10 years. She makes all of the projects doable for everyone! You will go home with a project you’ll feel proud of!
Does Seas the Day Studio offer private group classes?
Yes!!! Be it a birthday celebration, BFF get together, staff team building, or just a hang out to connect with friends or family, we do private classes well!! Please connect with us to arrange your private class project!
What services does Seas the Day Studio offer?
Seas the Day Studio is most well known for fun, creative and useful project workshops that you will feel proud to take home and use! We teach painting and stencil techniques in most of our classes, each one a bit different from the other!

We also offer retail services of Country Chic Paint products, a proud island company! This includes chalk/mineral based paints, glazes and other fun craft specialty products. All of these products are water based and non toxic. Being a proud retailer of these products allows us to offer lessons and workshops.

Where is Seas the Day Studio located?
Our studio is located on the beautiful coast of Vancouver Island in the quaint town of Comox. We are easily accessible and have street parking when you arrive.
Do I need to book a workshop in advance?
Yes, please …we recommend booking in advance to ensure availability, especially for private group workshops. Because some supplies come from out of province, it is best to give us up to 3 weeks advance notice. This is especially true in the Christmas season!
